　　元音字母：a,e,i,o,u.

　　英语语法中,在遇到发音以元音字母开头的单词,且是单数形式时,要用an;其他都用a.

　　比如说This is an English book.(这是一本英语书).是一本英语书,单数,所以要用到冠词a/an,然后English的以e开头,且发音为['ɡl],[i]也属于元音,所以要用an.This is a book的话,就要用a,因为book是以b开头,不是元音字母.

　　其中要注意的是,用an要满足两个条件：1.单词首字母是元音字母;2.首字母发音也是元音.
